Britt wins eastern district commissioner seat

According to the unofficial Ozark County election results, Jim Britt won the contest for eastern district commissioner in the Aug. 6 Primary Election with 589 votes, taking 66.70% of the ballots cast in the race. His challenger Michael Warren received 294 votes.
Both candidates ran on the Republican ballot. There was no democrat challenger, meaning Britt will run unopposed in the Nov. 5 General Election unless an independent or write-in candidate file in the meantime.
There were a total of 883 votes cast in the race.
