Caulfield man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

William Tim Chamberlain, 38, of Caulfield was seriously injured in a crash about 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 8. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report, Chamberlain was riding a 2006 Honda BT750 motorcycle westbound on Highway 160 in Gainesville when a 2013 Chevrolet driven by 81-year-old Jasper Schribner of Zanoni turned northbound onto Highway 181 and into Chamberlain’s path. A witness reported that Chamberlain attempted to stop but was unable to and hit the right side of Schribner’s vehicle. According to the report, Chamberlain was transported by Air Evac to Cox South hospital in Springfield. Schribner was not injured. Chamberlain’s motorcycle sustained extensive damage and Schribner’s Chevrolet was moderately damaged. Ozark County Ambulance, Ozark County Sheriff’s deputies and Gainesville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the accident. The crash was investigated by MSHP Msgt. C. A. Hogue.
