Gainesville FFA entomology team takes first in nation

The Gainesville High School FFA entomology team took first place in the national contest at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. GHS junior Dylan Abraham also placed third individually in the contest. Team members, pictured from left, are: Dylan Abraham, Lilly Winrod, Lilly Hejdak and Logan Funk. Entomology is the study of insects, and the FFA contest focuses on recognizing, identifying and understanding beneficial and destructive insects in relation to agriculture. The Gainesville FFA is under the direction of Jon Wilson.
