Book lovers and bargain hunters will both be in luck during Hootin an Hollarin!

The Ozark County Volunteer Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, for a gigantic book sale. Stock up now on new and gently-used books!

We have a great selection for sale including fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, westerns, sci-fi, children’s books, romance and inspirationals. We also have DVDs. There are a lot of recently published books by popular authors.

By holding the sale in the basement of the library, book selection will be easy - fiction and mysteries are organized by author, and non-fiction is sorted into clearly labeled categories.

An extra bonus is that the library’s basement is air-conditioned, which will be welcome to many Hootin an visitors, and we also have restrooms available.

All our hardback books are $1, and paperbacks are 50 cents. All children’s books are 25 cents. Romances and inspirationals are priced 10 books for $1. DVDs are $1.

Additionally, the library’s rare book room, filled with older, collectible volumes, will be open for browsing. Those books will be individually priced.

Throughout the day, we will also be offering special spot sales and everyone who purchases anything will be entered in hourly drawings for free books!

All proceeds from the sale go toward keeping the library open - ensuring its continued contribution to our community.

The library is located at 200 Elm Street, just a block off the Gainesville square down Second Street.
