Officers execute search warrant on Brixey home, find stolen truck, drugs paraphernalia

Brixey resident Alvin Searcy was arraigned on felony charges of delivery of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, stealing a vehicle and maintaining a public nuisance before Associate Judge Raymond Gross Dec. 17.
He is being held in the Ozark County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond. A bond reduction hearing is scheduled in his case for 1:30 p.m. today, Dec. 22.
A search warrant executed
According to the probable cause statement, prepared by Ozark County Sheriff’s Sgt. Justin D. Brown, the Multi-jurisdictional Task Force executed a search warrant on Searcy’s residence on N Highway in Gainesville at 1:28 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15. The warrant was signed by Gross the day before, the statement says.
Inside a black safe in the home’s living room, officers reportedly found a large plastic bag containing 117 grams of marijuana and 10 small plastic bags of marijuana in one- to three-gram increments.
The safe also had other items consistent with distribution of marijuana and methamphetamine including a digital scale and a large bundle of small plastic bags.
In other locations within the house, officers found two smoking bongs in the master bedroom. The items field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Other paraphernalia found throughout the house included grinders, snort straws, pipes and scales.
A stolen truck
Behind a barn on the property, officers found a white Chevrolet pickup with no wheels. The report says that the front of the truck had been painted black with spray paint.
Officers ran the vehicle’s VIN number through the law enforcement software, and it had been reported stolen in Ozark County earlier in the year.
“This search warrant is the third time in less than a year I have been to this residence either for the use and distribution of narcotics or for the harboring of wanted fugitives,” Brown wrote.
Charges for co-defendants Newt Souder and Stanley Wilson are pending, according to the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department.
