Officers work to identify armed robber at J-Mart
The Ozark County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred Jan. 4 at Bullseye 36 in Gainesville, a store that’s locally known as J-Mart.
This week’s Ozark County Sheriff’s report shows that the call came in to the sheriff’s 911 dispatch office at 9:55 p.m. Jan. 4.
The store clerk reported that a man in a ski mask and dark glasses entered the store, pointed a small, silver pistol at her and told her to give him “all the [expletive] money,” according to the OCSD.
The cashier did as the man demanded. She told officers she believed it was less than $250 in cash.
Then the man left. The cashier said she wasn’t able to give a description of the vehicle because she was hiding behind the counter after the stressful encounter.
No one was injured during the robbery.
