Officers work to identify armed robber at J-Mart

Officers retrieved this photo off footage from the convenience store’s security camera on Jan. 4, the night of the armed robbery.

The Ozark County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred Jan. 4 at Bullseye 36 in Gainesville, a store that’s locally known as J-Mart.

This week’s Ozark County Sheriff’s report shows that the call came in to the sheriff’s 911 dispatch office at 9:55 p.m. Jan. 4.

The store clerk reported that a man in a ski mask and dark glasses entered the store, pointed a small, silver pistol at her and told her to give him “all the [expletive] money,” according to the OCSD.

The cashier did as the man demanded. She told officers she believed it was less than $250 in cash.

Then the man left. The cashier said she wasn’t able to give a description of the vehicle because she was hiding behind the counter after the stressful encounter.

No one was injured during the robbery.

If you have any information about this incident, please contact the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department at 417-679-4633.
