Ozark County Library’s summer reading program will be held July 9 to Aug. 6

Children of all ages are encouraged to read for pleasure this summer as Ozark County Volunteer Library presents “Adventure Begins at your Library.”
This summer reading program will kick off with a story hour at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, in the basement of the library.
Similar to past years, each week program organizers will host a story time featuring a couple of read-aloud books and craft activities. Hopefully, we will entertain the kids and even provide a little education and enrichment!
Like last year, we have planned a collaborative art project to exhibit in the library. The weekly story times will all be on Tuesdays (July 9, 16, 23, 30 and Aug. 6).
Children of all ages are welcome to participate in this free program and will earn incentives and qualify for prizes. Attendance at the weekly story hours is not required. Kids can still sign up and turn in their reading logs to be entered for the grand prizes.
Although open to all ages, the story hours are geared more to elementary school-aged children than older teens. Preschool children need to have an adult present during the story time programs.
A special end-of-program celebration will be held after the story time on Aug. 6 with presentation of certificates and drawings for prizes.
