Three Gainesville-area teens injured in rollover crash

Three Gainesville-area teens were injured Friday in a single-vehicle crash in Douglas County about 8 miles east of Ava, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The accident occurred about 12:20 p.m. when Cheyenne N. Lee, 16, was driving a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am eastbound on AB Highway with Anna Lee and Ashlynn Davidson, both 13, as passengers. According to the MSHP report, Lee’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned. Cheyenne, who sustained moderate injuries, and Anna, who sustained minor injuries, were both transported to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Ashlynn, who sustained minor injuries, refused treatment at the scene. All three girls were wearing seatbelts.
The vehicle, a total loss, was towed from the scene. This accident was investigated by MSHP Trooper J. O. Prater.
