Three seriously injured in head-on crash

The Tecumseh Volunteer Fire Department shared this photo to their Facebook page Monday night, showing the front end damage of a 2014 GMC Terrain that was involved in a head-on collision Monday night. The driver and passenger of the vehicle, along with the driver of the truck that hit them, all sustained serious injuries involved in the crash. “Please be careful when driving. Stay focused and keep your eyes on the road... Please say a quick prayer for all those involved,” the post on TVFD’s page said.

A Searcy, Arkansas woman was flown by helicopter ambulance to Cox South in Springfield, and two Arkansas men were taken by ground ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, all with serious injuries, following a head-on crash on Highway 160 in Tecumseh Monday night, June 24.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online crash report, 24-year-old Blaine Tillis, of Lakeview, Arkansas, was driving westbound on Highway 160 in the Tecumseh area, about 15 miles east of Gainesville, in a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado when he crossed the centerline around 7:45 p.m. and hit an oncoming 2014 GMC Terrain head-on. Angela Adams was driving that vehicle with Mark Adams as her passenger. Both are from Searcy, Arkansas, and their age is unknown, the report says.

All three sustained injuries classified as “serious,” in the report. Angela Adams, who presumably sustained the most serious injuries in the crash, was life-flighted to Cox South in Springfield. Mark Adams and Blaine Tillis were taken by ambulances to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. All three were wearing seatbelts, the report says, and both vehicles were insured.

The Tecumseh and Bakersfield Volunteer Fire Departments, MSHP Troop G, Ozark County Ambulance, Ozark County Sheriff’s Department and Air Evac helicopter ambulance all responded, according to this week’s sheriff’s report.

The crash was investigated by MSHP Tpr. C. A. Edens.
