The Dora Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a fire on a trailer hauling a full load of round bales at Highways 181/14 around 4:37 p.m. last Friday, Dec. 13. Eastern Douglas County VFD was called for mutual aid. The truck and trailer owners, Michael and Autumn Warren of Dora, say the blaze was started when the wheel bearings went out on the trailer. “We are very thankful nobody was hurt. It was a very hot fire,” Michael Warren told the Times. “We want to thank everybody involved who helped it. I appreciate their hard work and keeping the fire from spreading onto people’s properties nearby.” Michael said he was also thankful that they were able to save his Freightliner truck from being burned.
