Project Prom Diva set for Saturday
Project Prom Diva will be in full swing Saturday said project coordinator Dottie Dowrick.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., girls from all four Ozark County high schools will be able to choose from over 100 gowns in various color, sizes and styles. The event will be in the basement of the Gainesville Church of Christ on Highway 160.
"Come early for the best selection," said Dowrick. "It will be first come first serve!"
The only cost for the girls is $20 to cover dry cleaning expense. If this charge creates a hardship, the girls are urged to call Dowrick prior to the dates and arrangements will be made. Gowns must be returned to Sonja's Hair and Tanning on the Gainesville square in the time allotted.
Parents are encouraged to attend with your daughter.
"Each young lady choosing a gown will receive a necklace and matching earrings to keep as a memento of this special occasion," said Dowrick.
In addition, two area women will be at the church to help with alterations and fittings. Some shoes and handbags will be available. There will be drawings for hair styles, manicure and one corsage and boutonniere. Refreshments will be served.

Volunteers help arrange jewelry and dresses as part of the "Project Prom Diva" being held the next two Saturdays in the basement of the Gainesville Church of Christ.
