Charles ‘Chuck’ Friend, 75

Charles “Chuck” Friend, 75, of Exeter, died Aug. 11, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. 

He was born July 17, 1951, in Gainesville, to Efton and Juanita (Murrill) Friend.

Chuck was a long-time truck driver for most of his life. He was married to Sandy Eagleburger of Springfield, and they had two children, Darrell and Dana.

He is survived by one son, Darrell Friend of Exeter; one sister, Wilma Pendergrass of Gainesville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Efton and Juanita Friend; his wife, Sandy; his daughter, Dana; nine siblings: Betty Garfit, George Friend, Nettie Sue Hogan, O.J. Friend, Rebecca Friend, Eva June, Benny Friend, Lawrence Friend and Mary Bates.
