Golden wedding anniversary

Ronnie and Elaine Terry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party hosted by their son, Michael, and his wife, Sara. A wonderful gathering of family and friends attended the celebration Saturday, Aug. 22, at The Venue in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Ronnie, a Gainesville High School graduate, and Elaine Dykstra were married Aug. 25, 1976, at First Presbyterian Church in Mountain Home. The couple are longtime members of Frontier Baptist Church in Pontiac, where Ronnie serves as a deacon. They are known for quietly working behind the scenes to serve their church and community — from arriving early on Sunday mornings to prepare breakfast to taking the lead on church building projects. After 50 years of marriage, the Terrys continue to be an important part of the lives of their family, friends and church family.
