Adalyn Henderson, infant

A celebration of life for Adalyn Nicole Henderson, infant daughter of Gainesville residents Timmy and Harlee Henderson, was held at 7 p.m. July 21, 2025, at the family cemetery in Pontiac with her great-uncle Gary Kinsey officiating.

Adalyn died in the womb at 7:35 p.m. July 19 and was delivered at 6:44 a.m. the next morning, July 20, at Baxter Health in Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Dr. Maureen Flowers assisting.

She weighed 14 ounces and was 9 3/4-inch inches. Early in the pregnancy, Adalyn was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, otherwise known as Brittle Bone Disease, which ultimately led to her short but beautiful life.

During the celebration, several of Adalyn’s cousins lit fireworks in her honor, their bright bursts a tribute to their beloved baby cousin. Surrounded by family, parents, sisters, grandparents, and more, Adalyn was remembered with hearts full of love and eyes filled with tears. “Adalyn, we cried for us. We hurt for your sisters. But we are celebrating for you. We’re anticipating meeting you. We loved and will continue to love you forever. Rest in peace, my littlest love,” her mom said after the service.

Adalyn is survived by her parents, Timmy and Harlee Henderson; her sisters, Eleanor Grace Ann (3) and Elora Kate and Amelia Jo (twin 1-year-olds), of the family home in Gainesville; her grandparents Robby and Malina Berning of Pontiac, Shawn Henderson of Ash Grove and Misty Skinner of Protem; her great-grandparents “Bubba and Old Pappa” Karen and Corkey Mahan, of Pontiac; her “Aunt Sis,” Courtney Berning and “Aunt Manda,” Amanda Ray and her cousins Austynn and Easton Berning, all of  of Zanoni; and many other loved ones.
