Annita Joyce Brockway, 65

Funeral services for Annita Joyce Horner Brockway, 65, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Whelchel Grace Funeral Home in Forsyth. Burial was in Horner Martin Cemetery in Bradleyville.

She was born Oct. 20, 1957, in Bradleyville to Tom and Fern Horner.

Annita died March 20, 2023, from cancer caused by a lifetime of smoking. She said that if she could, she would tell everyone to never start smoking, and if you do smoke, to stop now.

Annita was a Christian who loved the Lord. She looked forward to the day she would see Him, the three little babies she carried but never held, her mother and father and Carl.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Brockway, one son Cody Yarger and his wife Jodi of Protem,  stepdaughters Jenny James and her husband Heath of Gainesville, Arettia and Raquel; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister Brenda Roberts and brother Gary Horner and many nieces and nephews.
