Belva (Pellham) Turner, 81

Belva Sharon (Pellham) Turner, 81, of Theodosia, died peacefully at her home on Aug. 7, 2024, with her devoted husband, John, by her side. A private celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1943, to Ted and Beulah Pellham on Glade Top Trail.
Belva graduated from high school in Bradleyville, and on Dec. 9, 1990, she married John Turner in Miami, Arkansas. Their nearly 34 years of marriage were filled with love, adventure and shared passions.
Belva lived a life enriched by love, family and a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. She found joy tending to her flowers and hiking through the beautiful landscapes of Missouri. She was also an accomplished bowler, participating in a traveling bowling league where she earned numerous trophies and even traveled to Las Vegas for tournaments. Her hobbies also included mushroom hunting and bank fishing, activities that reflected her love for nature and the simple pleasures of life.
Belva was a Christian, she attended Hilltop Victory Chapel and True Hope General Baptist.
Belva was a dedicated and loving mother, stepmother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Belva’s legacy of love, resilience and appreciation for life’s simple joys will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Shawna Foundopoulos and her husband Ted of Overland Park, Kansas, and Nelson Burnett of Theodosia; grandsons: Spyros (Ted) Foundopoulos and his wife Lindsay, and Quintin Foundopoulos; stepchildren: Matthew Turner, Brian Turner and Michelle Turner; her brothers: Keith Pellham and his wife Mildred, and Garlin Pellham and his wife Joyce. She was a proud grandmother to two grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Belva was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Beulah Pellham; her brother, Ovid Pellham; and her sisters: Edna Jones, Ethel Jones and Joan Pond.
Donations can be made to Longrun Cemetery in Memory of Belva. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
