Betty Stanley, 79

Former Ozark County Times Editor Betty Stanley, 79, of Tecumseh, died Feb. 13, 2023. 

She served as editor of the Times from 1990 to 1993 and again from 1999 until her retirement in 2008.

Stanley was serving as Pastor of the Needmore Church of God in Dora at the time of her death. The church released the following statement Monday: “Early this morning, our beloved Pastor Betty peacefully entered into Heaven to a glorious homecoming. We, of course, are sad and already miss her tremendously. But we praise God for her, for the time we got to spend with her, for the many happy memories and moments, for her leadership and her guidance for us individually and as a congregation, for her being an example for us, and for her faithfulness to the Lord.  We rejoice for her because she has lived her entire life for this day. Please continue to pray for her husband, John, for her family, and for our church family.”
