Bonnie Rose Sisney, 91

 

Graveside funeral services for Bonnie Rose Sisney, 91, of Gainesville, were held April 22, 2024, in the Pontiac Cemetery with Jimmy Kyle officiating. 

She died April 18 at Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born May 23, 1932, in Isabella, to Clifford and Ola (Johnson) Loftis.

In 1950, Bonnie married Vernon Sisney. For the next 53 years the couple raised their family and made their living between Gainesville and Wichita, Kansas, following Vernon’s work. Vernon died in 2003. Bonnie loved her children and was a wonderful homemaker. She was a Christian and very proud of her faith in God. She attended the Assembly of God church when her health allowed. She enjoyed gardening and being outside, but most of all she just loved her family big! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by one son, Larry Sisney and wife MeLisa of Brookline; one grandson, Jason Sisney and wife Jill of Springfield; two great-grandsons, Evan Sisney and wife Jessie of Ozark, and Sam Sisney and wife Courtney of Springfield; three great-great-grandchildren: Raelynn, Presley and Grayson; one brother, Paul Loftis and wife Peggy of Gainesville; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Ola Loftis; her husband, Vernon Sisney; one daughter, Tammy Robertson; one grandson, Jeffrey Hashberger; one sister, Shirley Sims; and two brothers, Elza Loftis and Gene Loftis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pontiac Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
