Carolyn Sue McFarland, 77

Carolyn Sue McFarland, a loving mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at the age of 77. 

She was born in Bakersfield at Doc Sam’s. Carolyn lived a life dedicated to family and community, always known for her love of gardening, canning, hunting and fishing. She loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and learn. 

She is survived by her husband, Jackie McFarland; her children: Robert Grayham and wife Lisa of Viola, Arkansas, Susan Gatewood, Greg Watts and wife Zaylor of Bakersfield, Punk (Lloyd) Stone of Gepp, Arkansas;  grandchildren: Eric Grayham of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Austin Grayham of Batesville, Arkansas, Alex Grayham and wife Angel of Elizabeth, Arkansas, Victoria Hennessey and husband Ryon of Melbourne, Arkansas, Scott Gatewood and significant other Whitney Lester of Mountain Grove, Ciara Watts, Tera Watts and Kacy Watts of Bakersfield; several great-grandchildren; her sister Margaret Lyons and husband Richard; her brothers: Kenneth Grayham and Ronald Grayham; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ardo Jake Grayham and Lottie Louise Grayham; brothers: Yuton Grayham and Richard Grayham; sister Wanda Stafford; and brother-in-law Howard (Joe) Stafford. 

A celebration of life service will be held on June 7, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tecumseh Volunteer Fire Department in Tecumseh with burial to follow at Thacker Cemetery in Clarkridge, Arkansas.
