Charlotte Irene Henry, 72

A celebration of life for Charlotte Irene Henry, 72, of Protem, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Salem General Baptist Church in Ocie with interment at Rhodes Cemetery in Protem. 

She died April 28, 2024. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. 

Charlotte instilled a foundation of hard work, character and discipline in her sons. They went on to serve over three decades of combined service in the Army and continue to instill the values in their own children.

As a daughter, Charlotte worked diligently to care for her parents, especially during their final years, ensuring they received the best care and quality of life. As her brother battled cancer, she became his devoted caretaker. She tended to his needs at home and made countless trips to his appointments and treatments to ensure he received the care he needed.

It brings her loved ones great comfort to know that she is now with God and reunited with the loved ones she missed greatly over the years. Her legacy will continue with the memories she leaves behind.

She is survived by her two sons: Chris Henry and his wife Missy, and Nicolas Henry and wife Rachel; and four grandchildren: Claire, Ava, Grayson and Dylan. 

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Irba and Nadine Cleaver, and her brother, Lynn Cleaver. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rhodes Cemetery or a charity of their choice.
