Cory Thomas Lawrence, 33

Cory Thomas Lawrence, 33, of Theodosia, died July 27, 2022, of injuries he sustained in a car crash near Theodosia. 

He was born April 27, 1989, in Springfield, and was adopted by Hosea and Debbie Lawrence when he was one month old. 

His parents love him with all their hearts, and he will be deeply missed.

Cory graduated from Kickapoo High School and was a graduate of Drury University where he earned a degree in business administration in 2012. He graduated with “cum laude” honors, a distinguished level of academic achievement. 

At the time of his death, he was working for DHL Industries.

Cory was known for helping both his friends and complete strangers in any way he could. He had such a kind heart and soul. 

He was a big car enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, riding four wheelers and riding Sea-Doos. He loved to operate big machinery including dozers, backhoes, tractors, forklifts and other equipment. 

He will always be remembered as a kind, caring person with a big heart who meant the world to the people who  were close to him.

Cory is survived by his wife Amanda Marie of Marshfield; his parents Hosea and Debbie Lawrence of Springfield; his grandmother Jenna Hair; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. 

His body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
