Donna R. Oelke, 76

Donna R. Oelke, 76, of Gainesville, died Nov. 26, 2021, at Ozarks Healthcare Center in West Plains. No local services are planned at this time.

She was born Nov. 19, 1945, in Oregon the daughter of Arthur Thomas and Francis Jean (Brammer) Reed. She grew up in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, and on Jan. 6, 1967, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, she married David Oelke. They moved to the Ozarks that same year and settled in Ava.

In 1985 they moved to Gainesville, and Mrs. Oelke began a long career working for the Ozark County Ambulance, mostly as an EMT but in other capacities as well. In her spare time she loved to crochet, knit and paint. She was also an avid reader. 

She was a sweet spirit who was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by two sisters, Pat Koke of Seymour, and Ardith Reed of Gainesville; one sister-in-law, Kay Trout of Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, David.
