Eddie Walter Miller, 77

Eddie Walter Miller, age 77, of Gainesville, died Sept. 12, 2020, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield. A private remembrance gathering will be held at a later time.
He was born May 12, 1943, in Gainesville, the son of Walter and Rosie Dean Miller.
Much like his own father, he was a hard-working, good man. He retired from Ozark County’s Road and Bridge Department after 27 years of service.
Mr. Miller was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors. Throughout his life, he appreciated nature and enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. He was extremely successful and passionate about locating and negotiating a good bargain on anything and everything for family and friends.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include Avis Miller, his wife of 57 years; his daughter Paula; grandson Seth Miller and wife Whitney; two beautiful great-granddaughters, Rorie and Ella; and siblings Donnie Miller, Rosalie King, Josie Woodward and David Miller.
He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron; siblings Leona Piland, Elmer Miller, Kathy Howard, Johnny Miller and Jimmy Miller; and his parents.
