Erik Michael Pitcock, 43

Erik Michael Pitcock, 43, of Kansas City, died May 26, 2024, in Springfield from melanoma cancer. 

He was born Oct. 17, 1980 in Denver, Colorado.

He was baptized at an early age in Denver. He graduated high school at Glendale High School in May 1999. 

Erik loved music, working at CD Warehouse in Springfield for a number of years before moving to Kansas City, Missouri, where he became a well-known sound technician for many bands at music venues and was well-acquainted with the music scene there. 

He is survived by his parents, Lyndon and Linaia Pitcock, sister Mindy Wright and husband Brandon, brother Tyler Pitcock and wife Alisha, nieces Chloe and Quinn Wright, nephew Mikko Pitcock and many cousins and extended family. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Jacqueline Roe of Denver, Colorado, grandparents Glen and Linnie Ingram of Tecumseh and uncle Marlyn Pitcock of Forsyth.
