James “Jim” Green, 77
James “Jim” LeRoy Green, 77, of Hardenville, died in his home on May 1, 2024. Burial will be private.
He was born on June 19, 1946, in Gainesville, to Roy and Wilma (Atkinson) Green.
Jim married Wilma Young on Feb. 23, 1966, in Yellville, Arkansas. Jim loved to hunt, fish, spend time with his family and read his Bible. He enjoyed tinkering with his guns, tractor and “thinking time” in his deer stand. He worked at Bryant Plastics for many years and drove the school bus for Gainesville School District.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Green of the home; four children: Telesia Evans and husband Roger, Jamie Kingsolver and husband David, Amy Green and husband Joe Cockrum and Rebecca Hillhouse and husband Johnny; seven grandchildren: Ethan and Levi Evans, Victoria Fowler, Sarah and Noah Kingsolver, Sheddrick and Emily Green; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Wilma Green.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
