Janice Anita Imondi, 70

 

A memorial service for Janice Anita Imondi, 70, of West Plains, was held July 16, 2021, at Smith Chapel Church of Christ on N Highway north of Gainesville. Mrs. Imondi died July 9 at her home.  

She was born Sept. 6, 1950, in Tulare, California, the daughter of Joseph Lavern and Velma Lena Sanders. She attended Dora School and later married Ronnie Leroy. They had two sons together, Ronald and David. On Oct. 24, 1981, she married Robert Frank Imondi; they had a son together, Todd.

Mrs. Imondi loved to read, do embroidery and quilt. She never turned down a chance to go to karaoke and dancing. She was family oriented and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she was known for her famous sugar cookies and angel food cake. 

Survivors include her three sons, Ronald Leroy and wife Kari, David Leroy and wife Crystal, and Todd Imondi and special friend Dana; one sister, Joyce Herrell; two brothers, Larry Sanders and Deloss Sanders; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brianna Newton and husband Shannon and their children Emily and Kolton, Dylan Leroy and wife Jessica and their children Adylan and Lauren, Nicole Griffin and husband Jonathan and their son Jaxton, Clayton Leroy and Gavin Imondi; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Frank Imondi; her sister, Lozell Osborn; a nephew, Keanon Frazier; and special friend Ronnie Medlock.
