Jesse Monroe Wolfe, 85
A celebration of life for Jesse Monroe Wolfe, 85, was held Jan. 23, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma, with Tony Holmes officiating. He was buried at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
He died Jan. 18, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born in Theodosia, on Aug. 21, 1938.
Jesse's life journey of 85 years was marked by an unwavering commitment to his family and a zest for life.
Jesse shared his life with his beloved wife, Martha Jane "Janie" Holmes Wolfe. After they were married June 14, 1958, in Coweta, Oklahoma, they built a loving home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and raised a family grounded in love, resilience and joy.
Jesse's professional life was as a skilled machinist. He took immense pride in his career, working diligently at Blissit Manufactures, Air Cooler Exchangers and Arrow Tool & Gage. His hard work and dedication to the craft allowed him to provide for his family until his well-deserved retirement in 1998.
A man with an enduring love for the great outdoors, Jesse found solace in the simplicity of fishing, the thrill of hunting, the serenity of camping and the sounds of bluegrass music. These passions not only brought him peace and contentment but also created unforgettable memories with his family who shared in these activities.
Jesse's legacy is carried on by a large and loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 65 years, Janie Wolfe; his son, Tony Wolfe and wife Elina; his daughter-in-law, Kim Wolfe; four grandchildren, Cody Wayne Wolfe and wife Ashley, Clayton Thomas Wolfe and wife Bonnie, Shae Lynn Wilkerson and husband Rocky and Bailee Marie Lowrey and husband Christian; nine great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Wolfe, Ryleigh Wolfe, Cody Wolfe Jr., Chloe Wilkerson, Zoe Wilkerson, Quinton Lowrey, Emmit Lowrey, Grayson Wolfe and Kinsley Wolfe; three sisters, Bonnie Hagewood and husband Jim, Betty Wolfe and Debbie Falcon; one brother, Bud Wolfe and wife Karen; his sister-in-law, Jean Wolfe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends who will miss his presence deeply.
He was preceded in death by loving parents, Albert M. and Thelma Lucille Wolfe; his son, Timmy Wolfe; his brother, Howard Wolfe; his sister, Joyce Sisney; three brothers-in-law, Fred Watson, Bob Sisney and Dennis Honeycutt; and two nephews, Bobbie Sisney and Mickle Sisney.
