John Hugh Wilson II, 66

A memorial service for John Hugh Wilson II, 66, of Theodosia, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at the Theodosia United Methodist Church on Highway 160 in Theodosia. He died Aug. 5, 2021, at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar.
He was born March 24, 1955, in St Louis, the son of John Hugh and Lennie Meesey Wilson. He grew up in St. Louis, where he began a lifelong love affair with the St. Louis Cardinals. In all his life’s travels, he never strayed from Cardinal Nation. He could talk Redbird baseball all day long.
As a young man, he attended Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. On April 29, 1989, he married Nancy White. Mr. Wilson worked many years as an electrical superintendent for Honeywell Intelligrated. He loved riding his motorcycle, being outdoors and hunting.
In 2003, he and Mrs. Wilson moved from California to Theodosia, where he was very active in the Theodosia United Methodist Church. He was known for his beautiful baritone voice. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Wilson; one son, John Hugh Wilson III and fiancée Erin; one daughter, Carrie Raye Hester and husband Drew; one granddaughter, Hannah Hester, the light of his life; one sister, Donna Humbert and husband Jonathan; two brothers, Randy Wilson and wife Michele, and Keith Wilson and wife Sindy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
