Kathie Ann Whitaker, 68

Kathie Ann Whitaker, 68, of Gainesville, died at Baxter Healthcare in Mountain Home, Arkansas, on Nov. 16, 2024, with her husband holding her hand. No services have been planned at this time, but a celebration of life is possible soon.

Born Kathie Ann Hendricksen to Arvel J. Hendricksen and Marguerite (Bellinger) Hendricksen on Dec. 7, 1955, in San Bernardino California, she was the youngest of four children.

In 1974, she married Michael Johnson and had two children. In 1997, she married Michael Whitaker and gained two more children. She had various customer service-related jobs until she was able to quit working outside the home and be a housewife. She, along with her husband and oldest son, moved to Gainesville in 2002 from Pahrump, Nevada.

She was a Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her hobbies were watching westerns and Animal Planet, coloring and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her husband Michael Whitaker; two sons: Justin Johnson of Gainesville and Michael Whitaker II of Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters; Jacqueline Johnson of Gainesville and Angela Whitaker of Gainesville; several grandchildren: Dylan Burke (Whitney), Lisa Brewer (Kody), Katelyn Ray (Malakye), Colyn McKay and Hailey Jade Whitaker; seven great-grandchildren: Skylar, Stetson, Riverlynn, Rylee, Remi, Eleanor and Hayden.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: John, Donna and Bobby.
