Larry Etcyl Haskins, 79

Memorial services for Larry Etcyl Haskins, 79, of Wasola, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava with Pastor David Dye officiating. Military honors were conducted by the Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 and U.S. Air Force Detail.

Larry passed away on March 16, 2023, at his home. He was born Jan. 28, 1944, in Ozark County, the son of John W. and Naomi (Gaulding) Haskins. He was raised in the Thornfield community. Larry was a veteran and served with the U.S. Air Force. 

Larry enjoyed riding motorcycles and hunting. He also liked to visit with family and friends and loved to spoil his dog, L.D. 

Larry is survived by his two children, Gavin Haskins and Melinda Allen; siblings, John Haskins of Mounds, Illinois, Herbert Michael Haskins of Lawson and Brenda Haskins of Kansas City; many nieces, nephews, his neighbor and close friend, James Heath, and other extended family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Naomi.
