Marjorie Ann Allen, 86

Marjorie Ann Allen, 86, of Caulfield, died at 4:45 a.m., Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.

She was born April 18, 1938, at Virden, Illinois, to Holland Russell Hines and Violet Vadis Throne Hines. Marjorie was the oldest of eight children; she cared for her siblings after their parents' passing. She was a mother to all.

On Aug. 14, 1956, she married Kenneth Vondell Allen, who preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2008.  

Marjorie enjoyed camping, gardening, cooking, baking, shopping, reading, traveling, vacationing and going to the movies. She was a mother to four children, a grandmother to 10 grandchildren and had 25 great-grandchildren. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by two children: Kevin Paul Allen, and Darla Ann Towell and husband Gary Wayne; "bonus sons": Ricky Dean McKee and wife Debbie and Scott Crafton; "bonus daughter" Bonnie Helfer and husband, Mark; 10 grandchildren: Bradley Allen and wife Mary, Corey Allen, Karen von Wolfseck and husband Karl, Chelsie Allen, Kelley McGowan and husband Shaun, Holly Spencer and husband Tommy, Mandi Collins and husband Taylor, Alexandra Cope, Meghan and Michael; 25 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Buck Hines and wife Rosie, Delbert Hines and wife Brenda and Ronnie Hines and wife Terry; two sisters: Evelyn Graham and husband Frank and Delores Collins and husband George; one sister-in-law, Julie Hines; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Randall Allen and Brian Allen and two brothers, Bill Hines and Keith Hines.
