Martha L. White, 79

Funeral services for Martha L. White, 79, of Gainesville, were held Dec. 5, 2022, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville with Dale Roberts officiating. Burial is in the Sallee Cemetery.   

Martha died Dec. 2, at West Vue Nursing and Rehab in West Plains. She was born Oct. 19, 1943 in Oakland, Arkansas to James Everett and Velma (McGuffey) Hillhouse.

 Martha married Loral White Sr. in 1960. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. The couple had  four sons and five daughters.

She is survived by eight children: Charles White, Charlotte Sisk, Venessia Donley, Vernon White, Mary Roberts, Marsha Johnson, Patsy White and James White; 25 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son; one granddaughter; one grandson; two sisters; and one brother.

Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled Veterans. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
