Rita Lorraine Nichols, 95

Rita Lorraine Nichols (nee Schwendemann), 95, formerly of Isabella, died March 7, 2026. No local services are planned.

Rita and husband Marvin retired to Ozark County in 1981. She lived in Isabella for over 30 years before moving to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. She was a very active person, involved in many activities.  

Rita attended St. Williams Church in Gainesville. She loved playing golf, going on float trips, flower gardening and participating in several local organizations. She was one of the founding members of the Amateur Radio Club of the Ozarks.

She is survived by her four sons and their spouses: Dan and Madeline Nichols of Isabella, Bob and Gretchen Nichols of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, John and Susan Nichols of Crawfordville, Florida, and Jim and Patricia Nichols of Orlando, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and her 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Nichols.
