Rodney Wayne Weber, 65

Rodney Wayne Weber, 65, of Gainesville, died peacefully March 15, 2025, at home with his family at his side. As he wished, Rodney will be cremated and will be taken back to his hometown of Richmond where a celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Eagleton Center. This will be a potluck dinner open to all friends and family to remember and rejoice in honor of the bright life that was lost. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite dish.
He was born in Richmond, Missouri, on June 21, 1959, to Carl and Shirley Weber. He loved and worked at Late Model Auto Parts in Kansas City, Missouri, until he had to retire due to health issues.
He enjoyed four-wheeling with his friends and grandchildren, going mushroom hunting and smoking a good joint with great people. Rodney was a man who made the best of what he had and never let life get him down. He was a wonderful man and an amazing father to his child and his grandchildren. Rodney was the kind of person to make a preacher swear and a mime break character just to prove he could. He prided himself on keeping those he loved smiling and full of happiness even during the darkest of times. He was baptized March 10.
He is survived by his life partner and significant other, Theresa Weber O’dell; his daughter, Matishia Weber; grand-children: Belicia Weber, Danielle Weber, Sophia Weber and George Weber; great-granddaughter, Ayva Gomez; and adopted granddaughter Leilani Roderique, all of Gainesville. He is also survived by his brothers: Micheal and Shirley Weber of Richmond, Roger and Donna Weber of Camden, Stevie Weber of Richmond; and sisters: Brenda and Tom Turner of Richmond and Millie and Zane Edelbrock of Camden; one aunt in Iowa; Gerri (Weber) Hayes of Richmond, and step-father Larry Branstietter; nieces and nephews: William, Daniel, Micheal JR, Lori Weber, Jourdin Weber, Ty and Briony Turner, Serena and Josh Edelbrock, and a lot of other family all over Missouri and Oklahoma.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Carl Weber and Teresa Davenport and Shirley Mercer Branstietter, all from Richmond; grandparents George and Mildred Mercer, Mary Isabell Mercer, and Franklin and Pauline Weber.
