Steven Young, 56

Steven Young, 56, of Gainesville, died Feb. 15, 2026. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.

He was born on April 12, 1969, in St. Louis. Steve proudly served in the US Navy and later worked for many years as a commercial water well driller. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability and dedication to providing for his family.

He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Joann, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage filled with adventure, laughter and unwavering love.

Steve enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and spending time outdoors. He will be remembered as someone who was always ready to lend a helping hand, share a laugh and be there whenever he was needed.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children: Megan Young Hall, Hannah Vaughn, Daytona Young, Jared Young and Willow Young, as well as many cherished grandchildren.
