Thelma J. Cutbirth, 85

A graveside funeral service for Thelma J. Cutbirth, 85, of Theodosia, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in the Rhodes Cemetery near Protem. Officiating will be Jeff Anderson.

Thelma died April 24, at her residence. She was born May 2, 1939, in Ocie, to Martin and Audra (Cowin) Cutbirth. Thelma was a 1958 graduate of Gainesville High School. She worked as a seamstress for MarBax in Gassville, Arkansas, for 35 years until her retirement in 1999. Thelma enjoyed shopping and researching family history. She also loved tending to her flowers. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Thelma is survived by one brother, Dannie Cutbirth and wife Suzie of Kirbyville; one sister, Ruby Cheek and husband Bobby of Gassville, Arkansas; and several nieces, nephews and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Audra Cutbirth; one brother, Delmous “Pete” Cutbirth; and one sister, Wanda Wallace.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rhodes Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
