Orville “Bill” Richard Plumlee, 72
Graveside services with full military honors will be held for Master Sgt. Orville “Bill” Richard Plumlee, 72, of Neosho, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Oakland (Arkansas) Cemetery. A visitation service will be held from noon to 12:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville
Bill died Dec. 10, 2021. He was born February 14, 1949, the son of Elsie and Samuel Plumlee.
He grew up as a Bulldog in Gainesville and often returned to visit with childhood friends, attended Hootin an Hollarin festivals, ate at Skeeter’s Cafe and attended many sporting events.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years before retiring. He also served for 12 years in the United States Postal Service.
Anyone who knew Bill knows that he loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He will forever be remembered and loved by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by sister Wilma June “Spooky” Balentine, brother-in-law Louis Balentine and his sister Janice Sue Dixon.
He is survived by his only daughter Lana Gayle Plumlee; grandchildren Kavan Ply and Brett Walton; great grandchildren Kaidence and Elijah; sisters Christine Plumlee and Brenda Lou Marberry; brother-in-law Jerald Marberry; and brother Alva Dean “Sonny” Plumlee; along with a host of very loved nieces and nephews.
