Post office closings subject of upcoming meetings

Community meetings have been scheduled for two of the three Ozark County post offices the United States Postal Service is studying for possible closing - along with 3,700 other post offices nationwide.
The post offices here being studied for possible closing are Rockbridge, established in 1842; Zanoni, 1898; and Hardenville, 1921.
The Hardenville meeting is set for 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at the Lilly Ridge Baptist Church on CR 513 east of Gainesville, according to Wayman King, who schedules events for the church. Hardenville postmaster Debbie Delp said Monday she had not been officially notified of the meeting date.
The Rockbridge meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Rockbridge, according to postmaster Sandra Amyx.
Zanoni postmaster Karla Hogan said no meeting time had been officially confirmed yet for that community's meeting.

office will be Gainesville, seven miles south.</p>
