Public hearing set for city sewer rate hike

City water and sewer customers are invited to attend a public hearing at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Gainesville City Hall concerning a sewer rate increase for customers. Officials said the rate increase will be necessary due to the installation of a new lagoon. The amount of the rate increase was not spelled out in recent water/sewer bills where the meeting was announced.
