Bobby ‘Bob’ Goodwyn, 75

A funeral service for Bobby ‘Bob’ Goodwyn, 75, of Willard, formerly of Almartha, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at Clear Creek Baptist Church in Springfield. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Friday at the church. Mr. Goodwyn died Dec. 17, 2019.

He was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Almartha, the son of O’Dean and Velma Wade Goodwyn. On Feb. 5, 1972, he married Nancy Wray. They shared over 47 years together, growing in love until the end. 

Mr. Goodwyn was a 1962 graduate of Gainesville High School and a graduate of Drury University in Springfield. He was an entrepreneur at heart and owned several businesses throughout his life, primarily working with his dad and brother for Goodwyn Company Realty for over 40 years. He loved the outdoors and particularly enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, especially in Ozark County. Mr. Goodwyn also enjoyed baseball and basketball. 

One of his passions in life was leading people to Christ, studying scripture and sharing Christ with those around him. He adored his family and loved spending time with them, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Willard; daughter Sherri Goodwyn of Minnesota, and her children Hannah and Sarah Palmgren; son Justin Goodwyn and wife Jill of Willard, and their children Emma and Jonah; son Grady Goodwyn and wife Kelley of Willard and their children Isaiah, Josiah, Eli, Gideon, Jonathan and Joseph; daughter Wendy Beard and husband Scott of New Mexico, and their children Euell, Jamin, Elim and Jaren; son Tyler Goodwyn and wife Anna of Willard and their children Eva, Ellen, Grant, Evolette, Jett and Brex; one brother, Ronnie “Ron” Goodwyn and wife Carylon of Willard; and many other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery.
