Dixie Jean Adair, 86
Funeral services for Dixie Jean Adair, 86, of Rose Hill, Kansas, were held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at University Congre-gational Church in Wichita, Kansas. Mrs. Adair died Oct. 12.
She was born July 4, 1931, in Elijah, the daughter of O.S. and Tessie Bertram. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1950. In 1957 in Miami, Oklahoma, she married Joebob Adair. She worked for Beechcraft in Wichita, retiring as a parts analyst.
She was an avid duplicate bridge player and achieved the level of Silver Life Master. Mrs. Adair thoroughly enjoyed life, her family and her friends, and was known to be someone who “never met a stranger.”
She is survived by her son, Brett Adair of Rose Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Dorothy Farel and husband Aubrey; one brother, Joe Rex Bertram and his wife, the former Dorothy Jean Wood.
Burial was in Dunlap Cemetery in Rose Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1861 N. Rock Rd. #380, Wichita, KS 67206.
