Doyle Dean Williams, 72
A memorial visitation for Doyle Dean Williams, 72, of Ava, formerly of Gainesville, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava. Mr. Williams died March 8, 2020, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center in Marceline.
He was born Jan. 28, 1948, in Fairbury, Illinois, the son of William Felix and Agnes Daphne Kurtenbach Williams.
He served in the military for 20 years, including in Vietnam, and retired as an Army Sergeant First Class. He later worked as a gunsmith for 25 years. He also was an architect, hunter, machinist and volunteer fireman. He enjoyed classic cars and sharpshooting.
He is survived by his daughter Danielle Fairbank and husband Tim of Beloit, Wisconsin, and eight grandchildren: Cody, Trista, Shania, Samatha, Sierra, Nick, Colton, Andrea and Naomi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rene Crider; and one brother, Jerry Williams.
Military honors service will be presented at 2 p.m. Monday, March 16, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery-Fort Leonard Wood, 25350 H Highway in Waynesville.
