Erman E. Edmonds, 82

Erman E. Edmonds, 82

Funeral services for Erman E. Edmonds, 82, of West Plains, were held Jan. 16, 2018, at Carter Funeral Home in West Plains. Mr. Edmonds died Jan. 9 in West Plains.

He was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Dora. He lived most of his life in Kansas City and proudly worked in the concrete industry as a member of the Construction and General Laborers Local Union No. 264, retiring after 36 years of service.

After some years of retirement, he moved to West Plains in 2009 to be closer to family. Moving back to the West Plains area and being able to visit with family and old friends made him very happy. Mr. Edmonds lived an independent life in West Plains, as he had done in Kansas City, and he was able to care for himself until the last few months. He always enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his brother, Paul Edmonds, of West Plains; his niece Dawn Cotter and husband Jody of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his nephew Marty Mayfield and wife April of West Plains; and several other nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Darrell E. Smith and David E. Smith, both formerly of West Plains.

Burial will be at Pleasant Mound Cemetery in Douglas County.

Arrangements by Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
