Glinnie Heath Murrill, 51
Glinnie Heath Murrill, 51, of Springfield, died April 12, 2020, in Springfield. A private graveside service for immediate family was held in Thornfield Cemetery, where his ashes were interred with those of his son, Nicholas Steven Murrill.
He was born Sept. 1, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Benny and Lunette Murrill. He attended school in Thornfield through eight grade and then graduated from Gainesville High School in 1986.
He was a state-certified HVAC technician who worked on many schools, commercial buildings, apartments and residences in southwest Missouri, often working long hours away from home to support his family and provide them with the necessities in life.
He was proudest of being a father to his children, and he enjoyed being with them as much as possible. He sacrificed time and effort to do for his family, often helping with projects for his parents and brothers. Family was a central part of his life.
He was a joy to be around, always the cut-up and the clown of the family. Strong, able-bodied and willing to help anyone in need, he had many friends who still cherish his friendship.
He is survived by his mother, Lunette Murrill of Noble; his dad and step-mom, Benny and Vicki Murrill of Marshfield; his two brothers, Scott Murrill of Mansfield and Chris Murrill of Conway; his daughter, Heather Murrill and her mom, Shelly Murrill; his wife, Shannon Murrill and children Samantha Murrill, Trinity Murrill and Cole Murrill, all of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Steven Murrill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Thornfield Cemetary.
Final arrangements by Holden Cremation and Funeral Service, Sparta.
