Keith Wilkerson, 58

Graveside services for Keith Allen Wilkerson, 58, of Ava, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, in the Souder Cemetery with E. J. Hampton officiating. Mr. Wilkerson died Oct. 11 at the Autumn Oak Caring Center in Mountain Grove.

He was born Aug. 20, 1961, in Houston, Texas, the son of Gerald B. and Barbara Ruth Brodie Wilkerson. In Houston, he attended a Baptist Bible college. He had worked at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and he also worked as a laborer.

On Sept. 6, 1980, in Ava, he married Juanita Smith; they were blessed with two sons. They had formerly lived in Mountain Home and in Tecumseh. 

Mr. Wilkerson was a Christian and had attended the Dogwood Nazarene Church. He enjoyed restoring old cars, going to the lake, woodcarving, fishing and canoeing.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita, of Ava; six grandchildren, Ellon, Jeremiah, Nevaih, Aubrey, Bella and Jasmine; one brother, Gerald Bane Wilkerson Jr. of Texas; his father-in-law, Carl Smith; his sister-in-law, June Hitchcock; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Joshua Elland and Judah  Jesus “J.J.” Wilkerson; and one brother, Andrew Wilkerson.
