Louis ‘Mayor’ Crawford, 73

A visitation service for Mr. Louis “Mayor” Gene Crawford, 73, of Clarkridge, Arkansas, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Inurnment will be at a later date.
He died June 7 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born on Feb. 16, 1952, in Chandler, Oklahoma, to Louie and Roxie (Cowart) Crawford.
Louis lived his life in Clarkridge and was the self-proclaimed “Mayor of Clarkridge.” He was referred to as Mayor by almost all who knew him. He was a lifelong avid Cardinals baseball fan and even convinced one of his nieces that he had played for them.
Louis is survived by his brother, Barney (Debbie) Crawford of Strafford; brother-in-law, Gerald Farris of Clarkridge; four nieces: Amy Padgett, Misty Cullipher, Amber Claussen and Beth Trogden; and nephew: Nathan Farris.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathy Farris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home in Strafford.
