Maynard Brown, 72
Maynard Brown, 72, of Isabella, died Dec. 30, 2017, at Gainesville Health Care Center in Gainesville. Private services will be held at a later date.
He was born Aug. 19, 1945, in Sarasota, Florida, the son of “Doc” and Irene Malloy Brown. He married Faye Shirling, the love of his life, when they were very young; they started their family in Florida. Later they moved to Missouri where they owned and operated a dairy farm; Mr. Brown was a truck driver during this time as well.
In 1991, they moved to Isabella and bought a little country store that they operated until 2003. Mr. Brown loved his semi and his business excursions. He especially loved his granddaughter, Laura Davis-Ewry. She was the light of his and Faye’s life.
He is survived by one daughter, Pam Bazzle and husband Greg, and one son Todd Brown, all of Theodosia; one brother, Charles Williams and wife Marlene of Sarasota; and one sister, Patty Magruder of Missouri; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several other family members in Florida and many friends in Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
