William Joseph ‘Joe’ Wake, 46

Funeral services for William Joseph “Joe” Wake, 46,  of Springfield, were held May 22, 2020, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Pastor Tim Reese officiating. Mr. Wake died May 17 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield from injuries suffered in an accident.

He was born Oct. 19, 1973, in Hood River, Oregon, the son of Clifford and Roxanna Miller Wake.

He graduated from Lutie High School in 1992 and had worked at Nestle in Springfield and was formerly employed with Copeland in Ava.   

He loved to ride motorcycles with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing video games and working on computers. He loved spending time with his friends and family. 

He is survived by his four children, Jesse Wake, Sara Wake, Tyler Wake and Nick Wake; his parents, Clifford and Roxanna Wake; one brother, Fred Rodgers; two sisters, Marrei Johnson and Elisa Brewer; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.  

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Scott Wake.
