Wilma Loftis Stucenski, 90

Funeral services for Wilma Deane Loftis Stucenski, 90, of Westfield, Massachusetts, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Firtion Adams Funeral Home in Westfield followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, also in Westfield. Mrs. Stucenski died Jan. 19 at Westfield Gardens in Westfield. 

She was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Gainesville, the daughter of Orville and Mamie Allen Loftis. On Feb. 13, 1946, in Wichita, Kansas, she married Benjamin F. Stucenski, a Navy sailor stationed in Topeka. Later, the couple settled in Mr Stucenski’s home state of Massachusetts. 

Mrs. Stucenski was employed by Old Colony Envelope Company in Westfield for more than 20 years as a machine operator, and she later worked as a home health aide for many years, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed playing bingo, visiting the casino and traveling. 

She is survived by her children, Pauline Scanlon and husband Dan, Elizabeth Maloni and husband Dominic, and Stanley Stucenski and wife Nellie, all of Westfield, and Kathy Stucenski of New York; her sister Susan Bannish and husband Michael of Southwick, Massachusetts; her cherished 14 grandchildren, 30-plus great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren; and cousins Lana Allen Meadows and Nay and Jeannie Allen of Ozark County. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1999; her son Benjamin F. Stucenski Jr., who died in 2005 ;and a daughter, Barbara Hardie, who died in 1992. 

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, 516 Carew St,. Springfield, MA 01104.
