The Bakersfield Lady Lions stand facing an American flag before their last home game against Houston Monday night at Pride Park. The flag was flown at half-staff in honor of those who died and were injured in the shooting massacre that occurred Sunday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Bakersfield girls lost the game 11-4; they begin district play at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 4, at Poplar Bluff. The Lady Lions (4-12) take on Naylor (8-11) in the first round. The winner of that game will play Van Buren at 4 p.m.
